Hi Jenny
I had the pleasure of being part of the baby2mom team for the fourth time. Let me tell you a bit about my experience.
The feeling of giving other people the opportunity to have their own blessing and bundle of joy is so overwhelming.
All it takes is a healthy body and mind together with commitment. Being a donor does not change your lifestyle at all, it’s a simple routine of taking your medication/ injections once a day and in return it is also a great feeling and experience.
The injections are not painful or difficult to administer. The sonars went quickly and I was in and out in no time.
On the day of egg retrieval you go in to the clinic/hospital, you receive a pre-med just to calm the nerves, there after you go in to the procedure room were you will get a small injection to let you sleep. Once asleep the doctor will do the retrieval.
When you awake up you get something to eat and you can go home. I normally take it easy for the rest of that day and give myself a break. There are no “cuts” or stitches involved and nobody will even know if you don’t tell them. 😃
The day after the retrieval you can continue your normal day to day activities and you will feel nothing more than a little bloated.
I will encourage every women with a healthy body and mind to become part of the egg donation program and give the “gift of life”. The feeling of giving someone else their hearts desire made me feel extremely good and fulfilled.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help and making someone else’s dream come true.
