Egg retrievals refer to the special day that the eggs are actually donated.  This is a vaginal process undertaken under either anaesthetic or sedation.  The eggs are taken out from the follicles, which are hair like structures, that develop from the ovaries.  Eggs are retrieved with a cathetar and on this day they are given to the recipient and the egg donor gets her donation.
