To our Donor Angel,

Thank you so much for your letter.  Reading it just reaffirmed that you are the perfect young lady to go on this journey with us.  Your selflessness and sacrifice are so deeply appreciated that there are no words to express it.

My husband and I started dating about 10 years ago.  In 2012, we received the best news… I was pregnant. Unfortunately it was short lived.  The pregnancy was ectopic and it had ruptured so regrettably at the age of 31, they removed both my tubes.  We spent the next 3 years doing about 4 IVF cycles – all failed.  We then decided to take a year off from all the madness and get married.  My husband has always been my most favourite person in the world and I never thought it was possible to love him more, boy was I wrong.  Being married to my best friend is the most amazing thing in the world.  We tried IVF one more time at the beginning of the year – none of my eggs fertilised.

I can’t explain the amount of heartache you feel, the hopelessness.

It was at that point we started looking at egg donors.  We looked for months.  Reading profiles, looking at these young women’s pictures.

When I found your profile, I just knew. I whatsapped my husband “I found her!”

We would like to thank you for being such a blessing to us.  You are giving us the most amazing gift anyone could give.  No matter the outcome, the fact that you putting yourself through this (I know its hard) will always be cherished.
