On this day of acknowledging woman, two little ten year old girls provided their thoughts on what this day means, quoted verbatim below:

In 1956, over 200,00 woman marched to the Union Buildings in protest against carrying passes.  They stood silent for a full hour an hour and left signed petitions outside JG Strydom Office.  This protest shows that woman are courageous and strong at heart. 

We now celebrate woman in South Africa on 9 August annually to honour these woman. 

People should accept woman for whom they are and how they feel because woman can do anything and everything they want.
