An Egg Donation That Means the World

My second egg donation seemed so seamless and stress free compared to the first time I donated.  This time I knew what to expect from the doctors and sisters at the clinics and I was actually surprised by how efficient and friendly the staff were both in Umhlanga as well as PE.  I am truly lucky to have experienced their friendliness and helpfulness.  Every time I donate I learn something new about the process and about my body and the staff are well tuned in to teach me and tell me what to look out for.

It was such an adventure to drive to Umhlanga for the scans from Manguzi and it was a very welcome break to stay and enjoy the beach for a few days between the scans.  My last scans and the donation in PE was also a treat and I really enjoyed my first time in this quaint little town.  The guest house, 39 on Church, was also a kind retreat from our daily excursions to the beach and to all the wonderful restaurants.

The highlight of the whole donation experience wasn't the travels, the good company, or the good food, but the thank you that I got from the recipient parents.  I have heard only good things about them and I am honoured to give them something so special and know that it means more than the world to them.  That is what always makes the donation worth it.
