As a first time donor I did not know if I should have been excited or a bit scared but everything went better than expected and this was the most amazing experience of my life!

I would like to start off with a thank you messsge to baby2mom and Jenny Currie of course!   I have never done anything so nerve wrecking yet so rewarding at the same time and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this opportunity.  To be honest I pretended to be strong when speaking to the doctors about the injections when in actual fact I am terrified of needles!  Nonetheless I pushed through with the process, administering them by myself every day and doing so helped me get over my fear.  This is the first thing I would like to thank you for :).

Secondly, I know many donors have probably told you this but what you do is incredible!  You bring so much hope to so many families and you treat your donors with the utmost respect.  You understand how important your clients and donors are and do everything in your power to make us feel comfortable.  I am in awe of how professional yet friendly everyone is including the doctors.  I hope to have such a massive impact on people in the future as you have for so many in these ten years.

Next I would like to thank the recipient family.  Thank you for choosing me to be your egg donor, I feel very honoured and appreciate you for allowing me to be a part of your life changing journey.  I am sure this has not been a quick and easy one to follow but you have made it this far! You are so strong and only good things can be coming your way now.  I hope that this donation will be successful for you and your family and I hope you will be holding your baby by next year.

Eventhough I WAS terrified of needles, everytime I injected myself with the medication I was very happy knowing that you and your family are so close to having your own bundle of joy.  I even felt a bit guilty accepting the donation once this short process was over as I was just a pawn in this long game of chess but from the bottom of my heart I wish you and your family nothing but the best!  You deserve this more than any other person who has the ability to conceive and I am very happy to know that your children will learn just how strong their parents are :).

I can't wait to be able to help the next family out in the future! This has been an amazing experience I will cherish forever.
