As I started my second egg donation process, I felt overjoyed and overwhelmed at the fact that I was able to help yet another recipient's dreams come true. I felt extremely blessed that I was chosen for the second time to help another couple with a miracle that many people dream about.
The clinic, Fembryo, is once again, absolutely amazing! The doctors and staff are extremely friendly and made sure that I felt comfortable at all stages of the donation process. The doctors are all very professional and made me feel very comfortable with each and every step of the donation process. The doctors have your best interest at heart and will make sure that you are comfortable with everything at all stages of the process.
When I went for the first scan of my second donation process the doctors once again explained each and every step in detail to me for example, the self injection process, the process of the scans and finally the retrieval. The doctors told me how I would feel during the donation process with regards to injecting the hormones and always made sure that I was okay with it. My second time donating was surprisingly a lot less painful that the first time.
After all the scans and injections had been done, the doctors were extremely happy with the progress that I had made over the two weeks. They were extremely happy with the amount of follicles that they could observe.
On the day of my second retrieval I felt so overwhelmed that I was able to be apart of such an amazing and special miracle. To be able to donate your eggs and be apart of something so beautiful left me with feelings of happiness and excitement.
Once the retrieval was done, the doctors constantly made sure that I was okay and not in any kind of pain. I was given some painkillers as well as a yummy scone and some fruit juice. The doctor came to see me after the retrieval and told me that they were able to retrieve 13 follicles! I was extremely happy when I heard. The healing process was a lot less painful than my first time. I went home to rest after the retrieval and after a day or two I was up and moving about and felt 100% better.
To be able to donate my eggs was ultimately a gift, one that would change someone's life in the most beautiful way possible. I would encourage each and every lady out there to consider the egg donation process and to be apart of such a special act of kindness.
