Jenny, firstly I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to help a woman become a mother.  I feel it is the greatest gift I could have ever given to anyone - that is to bring both joy and chaos to someone's life at the same time (a good type of chaos), more like my child just ate sand chaos.  

On my way to Cape Town, I was so nervous and excited nervous because I was about to do something amazing for someone else.  I was also excited because I was able to go to a place to which I have never been and could experience the two together. 

I went for a stroll on the beach, it was wonderful. 

The doctor that made all this happen is Dr Matebese.  She was kind and we created a friendship simply by my visits to the clinic.  She is amazing doctor and person. 

The day before the egg retrieval I was praying outside as loud as I could to make sure everything was a success. 

It was raining for a while and I was all snuggled up in my blanket.

I remember as I was falling asleep on the day of egg retrieval, she kept smiling and speaking to me to help me feel comfortable.  I feel asleep knowing I was in perfectly safe hands.  Honestly, most people find it difficult to trust people and she made trust so easy. 

As soon as I awoke, there as a nurse, right by my bedside.  I made a friend that day.  I think I might have overstayed my welcome after the retrieval because we had such an amazing conversation.  She wanted to get to know me and what I was about.  We spoke about her beautiful daughter and how children have such innocent hearts. 

This all made me realise that people need children in their life to be reminded of all the good things.  The innocent hearts they have make us all appreciate the moments we have with them and we need it to feel alive.  This is a face of one reason.  I believe in your life is a must and definitely a gift.  My cousin's little baby boy reminds me of the good.  Regardless of what is happening in my day, he always makes me feel better.  For this, I am so grateful and hope my recipient gets the same bundle of sunshine. 

I hope that baby boy or girl - little angel - will bring my recipient all the joy and love that she deserves.  I hope that she gives that baby all the love that I am sure she will.  The love between a mother and child will never be broken and you will never find anything stronger than that love.
